Years ago I relied on mutt as my only mail client. But I moved jobs and my email traffic and complexity increased. A day of frustration with search functionality made me leave mutt. … I am back.
Turns out it is worth taking the time to figure out offlineimap, notmuch, notmuch-addrlookup-c, a few little tab complete query things like set query_command="notmuch-addrlookup --mutt '%s'", and more. No need for me to rehash already useful resources [^1]. Instead, I can just say, it is worth it. I will probably post a git repo with some setup info but until then, let me just say, it is worth it.
[^1]: arch guide among other things.
